What do I need to know about using the cover?
›
Here are a few tips to using the cover successfully:
- Secure bikes first. Ensure all bicycles are properly secured to the rack before installing the cover to prevent movement during travel.
- Vehicle compatibility. Do not use this cover with low-profile vehicles such as compact cars, sports cars, or sedans. Excessive wind drag may cause damage to the bikes or rack. For safe use, the rear of the vehicle should be similar in height and width to the bicycles on their rack.
- Rack compatibility. Designed exclusively for hitch-mounted platform (tray-style) bike racks where wheels rest on trays. Do not use with hanging bike racks.
- Light visibility. If the covered bikes obstruct the vehicle’s tail lights, the cover’s integrated lights must be used. Always perform a light check to confirm brake, turn, and tail lights are functioning before each trip.
- Proper installation required. Incorrect installation may cause damage to the cover or bikes. Scan the QR code on the cover tag or carrying bag for the installation video.
